UPAYA MENGURANGI AKIBAT KEGAGALAN MESIN FORMING MENGGUNAKAN METODE AGE EXPLORATION DAN RELIABILITY CENTERED MAINTENANCE

Abstrak : Metode Age Exploration dan Reliability Centered Maintainance (RCM) digunakan menentukan kebijakan perawatan mesin yang optimal pada perusahaan kerupuk. Mesin forming sering mengalami kegagalan selama proses produksi, sehingga berdampak pada peningkatan downtime dan penurunan availability. Produksi kerupuk sering tidak mampu memenuhi targetnya, sehingga perusahaan sering terlambat mendistribusikan produknya. Solusi yang dipilih adalah menerapkan preventive maintenance untuk tiap komponen mesin forming. Melalui analisis metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) diperoleh dua kategori komponen, yaitu komponen kritis dan komponen tidak kritis. Metode Age Exploration digunakan untuk menentukan kebijakan perawatan bagi komponen kritis, sebaliknya metode Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) digunakan menentukan kebijakan bagi komponen tidak kritis. Output penelitian yang dilakukan adalah kebijakan perawatan preventif tiap komponen, sehingga mencegah komponen mengalami kegagalan guna meningkatkan availability mesin forming.

ACTION PLANS TO REDUCE THE RISKS OF FORMING MACHINE FAILURE USING AGE EXPLORATION AND RELIABILITY CENTERED MAINTENANCE

Abstract : The Age Exploration method and Reliability Centered Maintainance (RCM) are used to determine the effective maintenance policy in cracker producer. Forming machine often fails during the production process, so it effects in increased downtime and decreased availability. The cracker production is often overdue to meet its targets, so it has to postpone distribution of products. It proposes a solution to implement preventive maintenance for each component of the forming machine. Based on Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), it classifies two categories of components, namely critical components and uncritical components. It uses Age Exploration method to formulate the maintenance policy for critical components, and it uses Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method to formulate the maintenance policy for non-critical components. The Result of this study is action plans of preventive maintenance policy, thus it will prevent component failures and increase the availability of forming machine.
